Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day (LATE) I hope everyone enjoyed the day full of love! I know I did. Words can not describe the gifts I received for Valentine's Day yesterday. Something more than money, flowers, gifts, instead I received two letters from the men in my life. Although I won't post Blake's letter, I wanted to show Colt's! Please enjoy! This gift was one of the greatest gifts I've ever received...besides becoming Colt's mommy!

Sunday, just Colt & I had a date to ourselves in Abilene. We went to Chuck E Cheese & I bought him over $20 worth of tokens that was spent just on shooting basketballs.
This is too sweet!

It's the little things in life that count the most. I love the fact that Blake allowed Colt to draw all over my letter & then took the time to describe what each drawing was.

Soon to be Hawkey player

You may be asking HAWKEY? I'm spelling it the way Colt says it.....HaaaWKeeeey (Hockey) Player. Him & his daddy had a boys trip yesterday to McDonald's and Wal Mart while I was having a bridal shower. Anyways, they came home with a new pair of skates for Colt. He now thinks he is a hockey player. He uses his golf club as a hockey stick & basketball as a hockey puck. Yes, it's been too funny watching him try to skate. He's actually doing a lot better than what I would have thought for a 2 1/2 year old. Before too long, he'll be skating like a pro. He's growing up so fast. I laugh all the time at the things that comes out of his mouth. There is never a dull moment with him around. I got told yesterday that a couple of ladies had been reading my facebook daily to see/read the things Colt had said or done. Yes, I do not exaggerate at the things that he does. He is full fledged boy. I always laugh because after basketball games, Colt will run up to Haley (a senior) look at her & then with his fingers on his cheeks say "Nannie Nannie boo boo, you can't get me" The littlest things Colt can turn into a whole conversation. And after every spanking he gets, he looks for someone to tell & says "Mommy hit me because I scream" GEEZ :) Anyways, here's to wishing each one of you a happy Valentine's Day.

Fishy Dilemma

Well, Colt has new pets. 3 goldfish & 1 crab. Yes, we finally let him have more fish after the huge trouble we had with the first ones. Let me take you back to what happened in our household a couple of months ago.

Colt wanted fish. I finally gave in (anyone that knows me, KNOWS I hate fish) Anyways, none the less, what Colt wanted he got. So we bought the whole thing at Wal Mart. We bought a fish bowl, a ship, rocks, grass, etc. We brought them home and situated. The next day, Colt grabs his fishing pole & sets off thinking that he could really fish in his fishing bowl. BUT, that is not the only thing Colt did that day. He also fed the fish his chocolate muffin, reached his hand in the bowl & grabbed the fish, and most of all, continued to stare at the fish inside the bowl moving them every couple of seconds. The following day we found the fish dead. My thinking is that they truly saw "the light" and swam toward. The saying "there goes $20 down the drain" truly applies to the Munroe's :)

So this evening, Blake & Colt set off in another adventure of raising fish :) But buying the fish were more trouble than expected. Once the fish were purchased, I dropped them in the shopping cart. We immediately picked them up & saw that there was a hole in the plastic bag. So here we go rushing toward the back of Wal Mart with a shopping cart & a bag of water that was dripping out into Blake's hand. He was in a hurry to save the fish ;)

So, please wish us luck on the next couple of days of raising fish ;) We hope y'all all have a great night! Here are a few pictures of Colt & his new pets. Hopefully Major won't get too jealous.

Colt's Bakery

How would you like your very own cupcakes made by Colt?! Last night, Colt & I had a blast making cupcakes & homemade icing. It's such a joy to be able to create such fun memories with him. Yes, he even cooked naked ;) I didn't mind one bit. He enjoyed every minute of it & loved the cupcake mix not baked...just like his mommy :) I would catch him putting his whole hand into the mix, licking the spoon & putting it back in there, and most of all, licking each cupcake after he DECORATED them hisself! Moments like these make me thankful for being able to spend quality & fun time with him. It seems like here lately, we have hit the terrible 2's stage. So when we are at home having fun...it makes up for all the spankings he gets ;) Tonight, we had Carlee's last Jr. High basketball game...WOW! Can't believe I just said that! Seems like yesterday, she was just starting CYC....Since she's started basketball in Jr. High both 7th & 8th grade year, they've only lost ONE GAME!!! WOW! Then, we had a very exciting Varsity basketball game watching Case! He's such a talented young man :) Anyways, both teams won! What a great night! I'm heading out...we have more games tomorrow night!

Tonight, let's pray about always putting God first in our life! Sometimes, we forget to give God all the praise & glory! I know I forget sometimes :) But I'm so thankful he forgives me.

Have a great rest of the week!

First post for new blog :)

Blake and I have decided to finally start a new blog. We truly enjoyed the blog we had while being pregnant with Colt & blogging our new journey as first time parents. It was only natural that we move onto the next phase in our life....raising a toddler ;) We hope all our family, friends, and fellow bloggers will follow us in this new phase and enjoy the memories that we are creating. Our life is hectic, sometimes a comic show, adventurous, and never the less funny. Most blogs will probably be about our 2 1/2 year son, Colt, and our lab, Major. Both of them keep us on our feet & never a dull moment in the Munroe Household. But at the end of the day, I always give praise to God for the life he has given me.
As I'm typing, I hear my son say "Major, damn it!" I guess on that note, I'll say goodbye & go get on to my son :)
